But As For Me

Beloved:

Sometimes there are so many challenging situations going on in our lives that it can become confusing, frustrating and anything but promising.

If we are not careful, this can lead to hopelessness. Especially when those around us have given up or worse, given in to the decadence that they see around them. Those are the circumstances that Micah was facing. In times like these, we must take a stand for God.

A stand that says:

• “I dare to be different.”
• “I refuse to go along with the crowd.”
• “Call me passé if you want.”
• “I don’t care if everyone else is doing it.”
• “I am willing to stand alone if I am standing with God.”

This is what the world desperately needs to see in us. That like Micah, we are not afraid to go against the grain by saying, "But as for me…" as we watch expectantly, wait patiently, and trust confidently.
